Toshiba Corp. (OTC: TOSBF.PK) announced that they are recalling about 41,000 of their Satellite T-series notebook computers because they may overheat and be a burn risk. Toshiba posted a recall for the computers on their website last week. The computers overheating may cause the area where the A/C adapter connects to the computer to melt and maybe even burn. Toshiba has received 129 reports of overheating notebooks which have caused two minor burn injuries according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The notebooks which were manufactured in China were sold between August 2009 and August 2010 and retailed for $600-$800. The recall is for Toshiba’s Satellite T135, TT135D, and ProT130 laptops.
